What a thousand feet changes
Specify for the cold, not for the spec sheet.
At this elevation the decisions that matter are not the ones a showroom usually leads with. Jet counts are fun. Insulation is what you will care about in January.
Insulation is the first question
Full-foam construction — where the cabinet cavity is filled rather than just the shell being sprayed — holds heat considerably better on a night in the teens. It also makes the spa quieter and stiffer. Ask about it directly; it is the kind of thing that gets skipped when the conversation is about jets.
Then the cover
A hot tub loses most of its heat upward, through the cover, which makes the cover the single most important accessory you will ever buy. A waterlogged one insulates poorly, weighs a great deal and is miserable to lift. Budget to replace it on schedule rather than when it fails.
Water volume works for you
A larger body of water gives up heat more slowly. On the same cold night a 400-gallon shell holds temperature better than a 200-gallon one. It is one of the few cases where bigger genuinely is more forgiving.
Where the wind comes from
Castle Rock yards catch weather from the open ground around them, and the newer developments on the higher ground catch more of it. Put the spa where the house, a fence or planting takes the worst of it. It changes how often you use the thing far more than any feature does.
Snow around the spa
Think about where snow comes off the roof, and about the path you will actually walk in bare feet. A spa positioned under a roofline that dumps a foot of snow in one go is a spa you will resent. A cleared, textured path with somewhere to put a towel is the difference between using it in February and not.
Drain and refill in daylight
Between November and March, do it in the warm part of the day and refill promptly. An empty spa and a hard overnight freeze is an expensive combination, and an entirely avoidable one. More on water care.
Castle Rock houses
Bigger yards, better problems.
Compared with the metro, this is a town of larger, newer houses with outdoor space that was actually designed. Decks off the back, walk-out basements onto patios at grade, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, and enough yard that a spa does not have to dominate it.
That changes the conversation. In Denver the question is what will fit; here it is usually what the space deserves. A walk-out patio is often the best possible location — already on concrete, sheltered on two or three sides, close to the house and out of the wind.
If it is going on a raised deck instead, get the structure confirmed for the filled weight before you order. That is not a formality on a deck carrying several thousand pounds in one place.

We serve Castle Rock. We are not pretending to be based here.
There is no Regency showroom in Castle Rock. We deliver, install and service throughout the town and the surrounding Douglas County neighbourhoods — the Meadows, Founders Village, Crystal Valley, Terrain and out toward the Pinery — but there is no storefront here, and we are not going to list an address that does not exist to look like a local business.
The nearest showroom is Aurora, on South Parker Road, which is a straightforward run for most of the town. Call ahead and we will have the models you want to try filled and warm.

Is there a Regency showroom in Castle Rock?
No. It is a delivery and service area for us. The closest showroom is Aurora on South Parker Road, around forty-five minutes from most of town.
Is it noticeably colder here than Denver?
Generally, yes. Around 6,200 feet against Denver’s 5,280, and overnight lows tend to reflect that. Snow becomes a normal part of the pattern through October. For a hot tub owner that is a feature rather than a problem — but it is worth specifying insulation and a cover accordingly.
What should I prioritise at this elevation?
Full-foam insulation, a properly built cover, and a sheltered location. Those three will matter more to you across a winter than the difference between fifty and sixty jets.
Will it work on our walk-out basement patio?
Often that is the best spot on the property — at grade, on concrete, and sheltered on two or three sides. Confirm the slab is rated for the filled weight and you are usually in good shape.
What about a raised deck?
Get it assessed for the filled load first. A six-person spa with people in it concentrates several thousand pounds over a small area, and a deck built for furniture is not built for that.
How far out do you deliver in Douglas County?
Across Castle Rock and the surrounding area, including the Meadows, Founders Village, Crystal Valley, Terrain and toward the Pinery. Longer drives and steeper access are worth flagging when you enquire so the quote is right first time.
